ABSTRACT Siagian, Manuel Renovary. 2024. Optimization of Bad Debt Prevention Strategies to Improve Liquidity at the Sumedang Post Office Branch 45300. Final Project, Accounting Study Program, University of Logistics and International Business, Bandung. Field Supervisor: Siti Nuraisa. Supervisor I: Diana Maryana, SE., M.Si., Ak. Supervisor II: Kata Kunci : Sumedang Branch 45300, Bad Debts, Liquidity. This study examines the issue of bad debts at the Sumedang Post Office Branch and its impact on the company's liquidity. The DMAIC method is used to analyze and identify the factors contributing to this issue, with an emphasis on credit granting procedures and accounts receivable monitoring systems. The results show that ineffective monitoring systems and weak credit granting procedures are the main causes of the high level of bad debts. This research proposes the implementation of advanced information technology and the development of stricter credit assessment procedures as solutions to improve the situation. The recommendations provided are expected to help the Sumedang Post Office Branch improve its liquidity and operational efficiency.
