ABSTRAK Nugraha, Feryl. 2025. “Optimalisasi Rute Distribusi Kapasitas Angkutan Dengan Menggunakan Metode Saving Matrix (Studi Kasus: Di Mail Processing Center Bandung 40400, Pt Pos Indonesia)”. Laporan Tugas Akhir. Program Studi Diploma III Administrasi Logistik Fakultas Sekolah Vokasi Universitas Logistik & Bisnis Internasional, Bandung. Pembimbing: Gayuh Minang Lati, S.T., MBA. Kantor Pos Mail Processing Center Bandung 40400 merupakan unit operasional PT Pos Indonesia, ditemukan permasalahan dalam pemanfaatan kapasitas angkutan. Beberapa rute, 1 CDE 2.500 Kg berat yang diangkut 1.574 Kg. pada rute 2 CDD mencapai 5.000Kg perunit, namun rata-rata berat kiriman hanya 1.614Kg. pada rute 3 CDE mencapai 2.500Kg perunit namun berat kiriman hanya 466Kg perhari. hal serupa terjadi pada rute 4 dimana kendaraan CDD 5.000Kg hanya mengangkut 508Kg perhari. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis data berupa matriks jarak, matriks penghematan, dan iterasi penggabungan rute berdasarkan nilai penghematan tertinggi. Proses ini dituangkan dalam bentuk flowchart metode yang terdiri dari: identifikasi jarak, perhitungan matriks penghematan, alokasi rute berdasarkan kapasitas, serta pengurutan titik kunjungan dengan metode Nearest Neighbor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Saving Matrix rute awal perusahaan 4 rute menjadi menghasilkan 2 rute distribusi yang lebih optimal, dengan penghematan biaya transportasi awal Rp. 5.301.000 menjadi Rp. 3.756.600 sebesar 29.23% dan peningkatan rata-rata pemanfaatan kapasitas angkutan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode tersebut efektif dalam mendukung efisiensi operasional distribusi di PT Pos Indonesia unit MPC Bandung. Bandung 40400 Post Office Mail Processing Center is an operational unit of PT Pos Indonesia, and problems have been identified in the utilization transport capacity. some routes, such as Route 1 CDE, the transported weight is 1,574 kg out of a capacity of 2,500 kg. On Route 2 CDD, the capacity is 5,000 kg per unit, but the average shipment weight is only 1,614 kg. On Route 3 CDE, the capacity is 2,500 kg per unit, but the daily shipment weight is only 466 kg. A similar situation occurs Route 4, where CDD vehicles with a capacity of 5,000 kg only transport 508 kg per day. Next, data analysis was conducted in the form of a distance matrix, savings matrix, and route consolidation iterations based on the highest savings value. This process was documented in a method flowchart consisting of: distance identification, savings matrix calculation, route allocation based on capacity, and visit point sorting using the Nearest Neighbor method. The research results indicate that the application of the Saving Matrix method reduces the company's initial 4 routes to 2 more optimal distribution routes, with transportation cost savings from Rp. 5,301,000 to Rp. 3.756.600 (a 29.23% reduction) and an increase in average transportation capacity utilization. These findings indicate that the method is effective in supporting operational efficiency in distribution at PT Pos Indonesia's MPC Bandung unit.
